#68144 well im guessing for his case since his car hasnt gone up in flames yet its probaly exhaust you prolly gotta leak somewheres or your clutch could be going bad if it sorta smells like rotten eggs mmmm! love that smell

#68155 lol like I said I don't even know how to explain it. I am almost positive I don't have an exhaust leak. It doesn't smell like gas or rotten eggs lol. No electrical parts seem to be burning, I don't know what a clutch burning smells like unless its the smell of someone attempting to burnout and they can't and it just smells like crap!

#68169 If it smells like what I'm thinking. You said its when your at a stop light. Does the smell come just after you come to a stop? Could be a locked up caliper or in that case could just be bad pads "burning". Basically the smell would also come into play of you had to slam on your brakes for whatever reason.
A clutch smell almost smells the same, a little more pungent and pronounced than brakes. But sort of the same smell.

Have you noticed any drivability issues? Like is it taking a little bit more throttle to get the car moving. Or do you notice any slippage while trying to "take off".
Give us a little more insight in the problem and what happens before the smell. Most of us have experienced all sort of smells during our driving endeavors.

#68186 Ya it comes just as I'm coming to a stop. It is time for me to change my brakes I do know that maybe that could be it. Also, I have noticed my car kinda stuttering off of the line but It's not my clutch slipping?

#68225 Is it stuttering or shaking. Stutter could be a missfire or somthing along those lines.
A shake could be a warped clutch disc. If its a factory disc then it is a possibility.

#68226 Its stuttering not shaking. What should i check?

#68229 I would check the basics. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor. How long has it been since you've changed your fuel filter. Have you checked you ignition timing lately.

I can honestly say I don't think any of this would have to do with the weird smell you are running into. But this would at least help you out on the stuttering issue. I personally would do a once over on my vehicle just to make sure everything is in order.

You could also check your oil to see if it smells like fuel. This is caused by extreme blow by. I highly doubt you have this being that you would notice a constant loss of power throughout your driving and significant smoke coming from your exhaust.

#68230 Fuel filter was changed a couple months ago. I checked the oil and its fine. Everything else on the other hand idk. plugs was a couple months ago as well. How often should you change your plugs jw?

#68235 Plugs should usually be changed I think Honda states every 80,000. Now on the other hand, if you have plug fowling then I would find out why they are getting fouled and then fix the issue and replace the plugs.
Check your timing, that could be an issue. Also make sure your air filter isn't clogged with dirt and such.
The fuel you last put in your tank. Was it a normal place that you fill up. As we all know, gas station fuel isn't exactly the cleanest. You could have also gotten a bad tank of fuel, maybe it had some water in it. I know tanks get dipped every once in a while to verify the water content in them. Being that they are allowed a small margin of water in their tanks due to the fact that they are in ground and can get some condensation.
If you end up at a road block where you have checked everything besides the tank. Go to your local auto parts store and pick up some "dry gas" or "stabil". Put the recommended amount in your tank and try to drive through the whole tank with out filling up until the last minute.
Make sure to Ohm out your wires. Even though they could be new, sometimes fluke accidents happen in the factory and you can get a bad wire. Find out what the manufacturer specs are on them being that I don't know them off hand. Ohm them out, if they aren't within the spec. Replace them.

#68236 Also, what type of plugs are you using?

I have always found out that NGK works the best in a Honda.
Always remember, if you buy cheap parts. Your doing just that, buying cheap shit. (not saying you did, but for future reference)

#68262 I use the ngk plugs and I use gas from the kangaroo. I always fill up there and its a constant smell for a good bit now.
