#74801 Hi,

I got a 95 honda civic whit a jdm d15b 1.5L SOHC Vtec engine but it wont start. When I turn the ignition switch to on the CEL light lights up for 2 seconds then it goes off till there everything is fine but when I start the engine it keeps on rotating but wont start, and when I stop I hear a continuous beep coming from the engine. Any help pls.

Thanks in advance.

#74828 Check your grounds, check your timing, check to see if your dizzy is fucked, check to see if your vacuum lines are correct, theres 2 sensors that are exactly the same, if you crossed them it wont fire at all?

#74857 sry for my stupid question the dizzy=distributor if yes could it be that it lost timing by its own. Something that I didn't mention before is that before the engine stopped working the car was acting strange while changing gears the car was only reving 2000 to 4000 and a lot of strange noise was coming out of the silencer it was like something was stack in the induction system and the engine couldn't breath good air. May be it was happening because it was loosing spark? but then we checked the plugs and they weren't good at all after I ve put them back so that I could park it in the garage the engine stopped working ( and we had to push it all the way :( ). Hope that I can have more help on this.

#75759 well could also be that it couldnt flow air thusly it couldnt suck any in might be a clogged cat as well i would check the distributor cap for condensation or moisture or something that might tell you that it might be the culprate but it could also be a sensor inside the dizzy (distrib) that might be bad easy enough to change out but yea id just check and see that stuff first then id check timeing and then id start telling us more such as results just so we know what to let you know to check next.....it may just very well end up being the distributor which isnt bad since you can just get one from a 1.5 id see if that might work see if a buddy would let you borrow his/hers for a quicky then you can knock that right off the list.

#75805 Well the car is back in life finally I ve changed the coil and it starts up immediately but now the only problems I have are 2. 1. the car seems to have something that is stuck somewhere cause the noise is very strange and it is loosing revs and the 2. I have an indicator on my dash that it seems to indicate that the is something wrong with the cat but I dont have the owners manual :( this is the indicator: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/5058 ... jc8.th.jpg
