well ive asked this question to my friends and they dont know why i even try lol they all say B....but I say and am sticking with D for now since really my only other love is the K and i dont have that kinda money.....
So here is my question I have a 1995 honda cx that i am planning on boosting but the motor right now is on the unknown since right now i have a Z6, Z6 head (going to be used in another project (mini-me)) but yea also will be trading some minor del sol parts for a true Dohc ZC though its going to be obd0...its still a nice motor and something i may use or can sell.....
But yea here is my question My Cx dosent really do vtec ive hooked it up straight to the ecu and i guess my only other option would be to do a wire harness swap for the ecu.....but yea I was leaning towards the ZC in this case due to it being a non-vtec...but its also got its little quarks so to speak....
Parts for instance I know a couple of sites such as D-series.org that I have asked and have gotten a fair amount of parts that are from different motors that will work for the ZC but i am still unsure since well yea they were not meant for this motor not to mention there are still quite a few unknown parts that may need replacing in the future that i have not been able to source.
And like I said above the only problem with the SOHC's is that they have vtec and i hate seeing that check engine light on (cut the wires i had hooked up to the ecu so i could make sure the solinoid was working correctly as it should).
Now the only motor I do not have or will not have as of right now is the Y8.....
I will be doing a rebuild on the motor I choose(with your help) so it will handle a ok amount of boost lets say no more than 10-12lbs or 15tops....
And this car is like ive posted before a daily driver/autocrossing machine/soon to be partial drag car I am looking for something that would best fit my needs.....
So based on this info and your thoughts on the matter what do you think i should do?
And no I am not going to get a B
And if you need to know a little more please just ask away since I want to make the right decision
Thank you
