#140618 Hello I have a D15 in my 95 EG and I had nothing to do one day and took out the spark plugs to clean them for fun. When I was taking out one of the spark plugs the spark plug was Full of motor oil and driping of it. so I cleaned it and put it back in. Does this mean my motor is shot or my head is shot? the car runs like new and i was told a year ago a new head gaskit was put on. oh the motor has around 300,000km and its not been on the road for omost a year.

#140636 Yeah which side is oily and if its the insulator side (white side) try checking the rubber seals in the valve cover first...If there bad they will leak oil...Hope that helps! :)

#140686 heres a good question are you spark wirs covered in oil too? . if so its your tube seals if not and its just the treaded part and the part that actually sparks than the easiest would be to replace your valve seals but it could also be thats your your rings arent sealing the cylinder ....is the car smoking? .. hope this helps

#143727 This kinda happened to my old civic, although the oil was just in the tubes and on the top of the spark plug. I replaced my vc gasket, all new gromets, tube seals, and new plugs. Seemed to work for me.

I got it all as a kit from a local auto parts store, it was like 20 bucks.

good luck.

#143766 yupp. try that its the easiest if that isnt it then your only out 22 bucks but at least you have them and they wont be next to go bad. I strongly feel that will fix your problem though. I had a similar case but not as much oil as you described. I also used some liquid gasket for extra assurance.
