im gonna try to find a blown HG or somethin
along those lines

but ya i plan on replaceing the water pump, oil pump
all seals, gaskets, piston rings, bearings, valve guilds and seats
gonna get the block crank and head sent to a machine shop
and possably replace the piston and rods and the valves depends on how bad the motor is when i get and how much cash i get :thumb:

sounds like a good plan :thumb:

chrono...don't you have to run a ZC tranny with the mount on the block for the half-shafts? you can't just go get some half shafts from autozone without the intermediate piece right?

#140270 would it be a good idea to run forged internals wit stock compression?

depends on what you wanna do with it? N/A or FI?

with N/A you wanna bump up the compression, with FI your going to want to run ~8.5:1 (VERY VERY ROUGH) i'm sitting at about 8.4ish:1 with my FJ rods/vitara pistons...they are the best bang for the buck i think

you can get some wiseco or SRP's and feel safe with eagle rods..

Pretty sure all 88-00 D Series Transmissions will accept those axles. You just need a D16z6 or D16a6 Block so you have the threaded holes for the intermediate shaft to bolt into.

You would need to get the driver side half shaft and the Intermediate shaft. I think the other side is the same axle. It was something I was going to do to my Coupe. I will be doing it to my sedan down the road.

*note to self* yeah i know my block has the holes buuuuuuut it's going to be hard to get the intermediate shaft and mounting bracket unless you get real lucky at a junker.....

well way down the road i will evenutally turbo
but for now i just wanna stay near stock, maybe a lil bit high compression

but when i turbo i'll prob rebuild the engine again
so i'd be on the safer side

but i would like to have something like egal rods with better pistions but stay at stockish compression, is that poss??

#140330 If you want an N/A Build to start out with and have to get new pistons it would make since to get High Comp Pistons, and eagle Rods. Then when you want more power, instead of boosting spray. You wont have to rebuild your engine and you wont wear it out as fast as you are only making big power when you want to.

#140335 well what would be a good CR for a z6
but i wanna stay around stock, i dont wanna have to use
higher octane gas

#140488 i've got a z6 in my hatch, and im honestly contimplating building it rather than swapping a b series. i've seen some nasty z6's out here, was just at the drag strip today for the pro imports competition here in woodburn, or. and there was coupe running a turbo'd z6, fully built, hitting 10's.. NASTYYY. there were semi built b series there doing 12's-13's, and its cheaper to build a d series, you blow it up, your lookin at a really low cost for a new swap, blow up a b series your lookin at 800-1000. hope ya keep the D, :] GL!

#140671 P28 is factory ECU for 92-95 Si or Ex Civics. You can also chip the P06 to the run the Z6. Properly. Cause a Z6 with a P06 ECU sucks. S20 is the tranny code I do believe.

s20 just means its a 92-95 Tranny, s40's mean its a 96-00 Tranny
You want the transmission with the marking "b000" next to the differential.

:thumb:
The Correct stock ecu would be the p28, you can run a JDM p08, which is meant for the JDM d15b. The Other USDM ECU's wont run the engine correctly.

#140675 ok so its the b000 :thumb:
and the p28 it is! i dont wanna mess wit the
chipping and all that bs

so what kinda cam would be good if i were to go aftermarket??
buddy club? maybe something from a diff civic??

#140677 id go with 96+ EX trans mainly because the shift forks are Steal and not aluminum like the 92-95's
