#226134 Yea man I have a 9 lbs flywheel in nmy x- and it created a good amount of chatter with my stage 2 competion clutch but its only in first gear and alot in reverse. Pesonally I would do a 12 lbs ifi did another dd. But I will say that 9 pounded made the sucker rev hella fast and definatky improved acceleration

#226359 Alright guys well money has me putting my 5 speed swap on hold for a month or two or until I get my Integra in running order again.

A friend of mine just purchased an auto 97 hatch that we are going to throw a y8 head on and do the 5 speed swap to here in a bout a week or two. We planned on just going with the cheapest lightest flywheel we can find on Egay and throwing an Egay clutch on there. Any recommendation's on the matter? We thought it be funny to put it all together with all OEM and Egay parts and see how quick we can get it down the 1/8th mile local track and it still be his beater DD. I plan on making a build thread for it in the "Other Ride" section. Be on the lookout. :woot:

#232146 Alright well we just going to order the stage 3 EGAY clutch's and what ever lightened flywheel they come with. Decided the Integras need to be done by Import Alliance in the summer so we just need the dd's running right and good. Thanks for the help guys.

:thumb: The Stage 3 XTD kit brings a 1500lbs clamping load pressure plate so your pedal effort(Stiffness) isnt that much more then your stock pedal feel you can ask for a higher rated one which they sell for $40 more . you'll like it. once you go with a 1900 lbs pressure plate that's when it really gets annoying like the Competition stage 4. legs shakes on my buddy's k20 when im driving.. lol.

#232676 I have a lightened stock flywheel (10 lbs lighter IIRC ... so 12ish lbs). Unless your car is a dedicated track car I'd stay away from the REALLY light ones. It makes the car idle like shit and it makes hills a pain in the ass. And getting the car moving from a stand still is a bit of a chore as well.

Also I'd stay away from the XTD clutches I wore one out in about a year with just a b7/z6 mini me (~120 whp). Granted I wasn't very nice to it, but still. Suffice to say I will never cheap out on a clutch again.

#233470 Well the one Civic is a d16y7 with z6 intake mani, z6 header, z6 cat, and a megan racing exhaust. Then my Civic is a stock z6 that will be getting I/H/E for the daily grind until I can find a supercharger for it after Import Alliance. The one Integra is getting a K swap and the other a H2B setup so we just trying to get the civic's done as cheap as possible and they only have to last us until IA.

You'd think so wouldn't you. The XTD Stage 3 is soft as shit ... as soft or softer than stock. I much prefer my comp clutch (stg 4 I think). There is no feedback at all from the the XTD stage 3, I like knowing my clutch is doing something.
