he used d17 pistons and decked the block .030 to bring the pistons flush wioth the deck height
its basically the same as using b7 or z6 pistons that have been milled down
peersonally isd use b7 pistons milled down just caus ehtye are flatter and have better quench
if u dont deck the block and use d17 pistons its still a nice 9.6 to one with no work
still pretty good little stroker
if i could build one( wich i may when tax returns come in )
i would use a z6 head with a d15b cam in it
d17 crank and rods
and b7 pistons milled down 2mm
i could do all this for around 500 bucks considering i have all the parts accept the d17 crank and rods
