and sell me youer z1 head when u pull it out :thumb:

It's too cold to mess with anything this week, maybe better next week.

I don't know if I can part with the Z1, I'm thinking a OEM rebuild slapped into a '88 CRX shell as a daily might be a good plan down the road :hehe:

Thankz Honda Power,
Yeah the ARP studs and rod bolts will be on the list. I tend to only list mostly what I have my hands on, i.e Short Ram=prolly AEM but if I run across a whale penis cheap enough then I'll go that route.
Of course I'll go ahead and get a Ebay or DC header and custom exhaust done.

I'm still looking into pistons and a cam, PG6's (75.5) are looking promising and a Delta 272 cam fits my buget as I would already have more invested in the head than I wanted to (w/ P&P, super tech springs, new oem retainers, valve job, AEM cam gear or Bisi). But who knows I could get a raise, haha yeah right.

Basically I don't want to list a bunch of crap that I never do for what ever reason, I'd rather keep it real, then we'll all be surprised in the end

Edit: The PG6's will need the valve reliefs cut, I'll have them polished or maybe coated.

#239014 So Friday is the Big day to send the head off to Performance Porting, so I did a little work. I pulled the cam because it's going to be heading to Delta for a regrind.

#239016 I also thought it would be a good idea to get that damn black spray paint off the head and clean it up just a little before it's sent off.

I had put the rocker assembly back on before wrapping it up.

Now It's All Ready To Go!

#239033 It's nice to see someone that doesn't mind getting dirty and building a motor. Keep us up on the updates and good luck with your build.

#239046 Nice build, You will want an adjustable cam gear or a d16y7/8 cam gear. Otherwise timing will be one tooth off, I helped a buddy put together a y7/z6 head minime. We put it in his Heavy 88 Civic Wagon with a DX Cable Transmission, He still managed to beat his Friends 91 Wagon with a B16 Swap in it. He had better tires then the B16 wagon, however he had 5-6 Cars on him. We were all very surprised to see how much quicker it was then the b16 Wagon.

When all is said and done, You should have a pretty quick setup here. :thumb:

Thankz man! Yeah the adjustable gear will be listed soon
I'm still juggling pistons and a cam but it will all come together soon enough
I really need to post up my y7 head to help move things along a little bit.

Remember this was a junkyard pulled head, and it had a couple bent valves and 2 of which had made sweet monkey love to the pistons. PPorting replaced those valves, milled .002 for flatness, and 3 angle valve job.

Great service from Dustin too, I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to get this thing back and to the next step ;)
