#99493 Ok I'm not going to argue with you about who knows what about cars because I need help.I don't know enough about zc motors to be able to tell what I have I know its a y8 intake I know it has all this obd2 shit which would tell me it was from a 96and up car. But the fact of the matter is that no one has answered my question SO SINCE YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT CARS tell me how to figure out what year car my ZC BLOCK came out of.

#99513 What does that matter? For all intents and purposes it's a D16Y8. It's OBD2. By definition that means 96-00. Are you in it just for the trivia?

On the head above the exhaust manifold starting from the left are two circles with numbers in it, then four squares, then the head code, then two squares, then a number just behind the dipstick.

Mine says 5, 6/1, P2J-2, 96. Mine is an JDM OBD2 1.5L D15B 3 Stage VTEC.

#100703 I say its a very nifftily painted D16y8. Intake, exhaust and valve cover are all the same color...nifty!!

With the reflection on the block, it looks to have the D16y8 ish look. Doesnt seem to just say ZC....
