- Sun Jun 28, 2009 12:06 am #126397 ok so my car ran 100% awesome 3weeks ago. i parked it and have not driven it since then....i came to drive it yesterday and thenew battery was toast so i bought a new one. now the car starts and idle is irratic just bounces around like crazy...when you rev it it just bubbles around and wont go past 4k. the CEL is on and so is the battery light, but the car wont gimme any codes:/ i let it idle irratically till running temp.

- Sun Jun 28, 2009 1:01 am #126406 if it wont give you any codes it could be a ecu problem try using another one possibly if you can test that and see if thats your problem.....also if it was sitting id spray your alternator the bearings inside tend to freeze up n stuff like that. and wont allow you to charge your battery probaly why the battery light is on. but id check ecu first. and also if you are in an area populated by rodents like squirrels chipmunks n such i think you may want to check you wiring make sure nothing chewed anything n such as well...

But thats just my my 2cents also id check your vaccum canister i know when i did my buddies car the bottom portion popped off and it would gurgle and stuf when you tried to hit the gas to go and then id die...it would also ide irratically......

- Sun Jun 28, 2009 5:39 am #126426 ok cool thanks that helps alot. my area is not populated my rodents and i checked the wiring. i will check the evap can like you said and i had a feeling about the ecu just needed the added reassurance. ill test those ideas out and let you know how they go
