hey,

i have a big problem with my car and i hope you l33t honda guys/girls can help me out. i jus traded my car for this 95 civic sedan with a D16Z6 (civic ex/si) automatic. it jus wont make any power whatsoever. i checked under the hood and the previous owner had a AEM cam gears exposed in it advanced to 5 degrees and the cam gear is not even lined up right with the block/cam cover, and the car would "bog" in low speeds. sometimes during highways speeds like 40-50 mph, it bogs like it would die and the tach and speedo would go crazy. i would go slow, and it still does the same like something is pushing it back from the motor. i heard a CAI would do that but i dont think its the CAI. anybody please help???

what would be a "perfect" ecu for this swap? i looked all over the net and they say it might be the ecu or somethin electrical.

the ecu should be a P28.
Some things to check:
1. any CEL's?
2. Check ignition timing
3. Check engine timing
4. Check compression

Those are the essentials... let us know how those go.
Also I would inspect the cap & rotor/plugs/wires for good measure.
When you get a used car, you never know how neglected it could be from the previous owner.
