OK so I picked up a d16z6 to swap into my hatch, and am trying to change out all the belts before I drop it in. But how in the hell do I get the crank pulley off of this thing without the engine cranking? I wanted to get my new water pump and belts on before the weekend so I can go rafting and not worry about it when I get home, any help would be great. I have found a couple guides but they are all when the engine is installed in the car not when its out.

you need to stop the flywheel from turning and it should break lose with some elbow grease.

There is actually a tool made for this. it fits into the crank pulley and has a hole in it for a ratchet and socket to go through. it holds the pulley in place and lets you loosen the bolt. WORKS wonders. Moroso makes it as well as alot of other places.
