hey all first post glad to be here.. well jst got a 95cx hatch from the lady down the street 700 bucks. she was going to donate it for a tax refund.. very clean ac works n all. only one dent on drivers fender and no rust. one prob it will not accelerate at all. i dont have a tach so iamm not sure what rpm this is going on at i would have to say maybe 2500-3000. its just like a studder almost like fouling plugs on a 2 stroke. i put new plugs in thats it.. same prob. still smokeing n slooo. i cant even go over 40 mph. i hope some one had came across something like this b4. iam going to take off the exhaust at the header and check out egr valve for old oil clogs today. thanks
Aaron

is the smoke white (coolant) or does it have a slight bluish tint (oil)?

blue tint. if i just start the car and mash the gas sitting there it smokes very bad looks like a huge burn out just had happend... oil lvl is good didnt seem like any coolant was in there

sounds like the rings are done.
you should get a compression test done on it.

any check engine light? blue smoke could be bad rings or valve seals...
I would do a compression test

well the results of the comp test are 175 150 151 170. i also checked the cam timing all is good. new plugs. looked at the cap and rotor looks fine. there is alot of old oil on shit. the oil cap had been left off for about a week i was told. so the wires were soaked in oil i dont kno if plug wires wuld be effected by this or not. it starts right up...... WTF!
any other ideas?

i really dont think so there is no oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil as far as i can tell. maybe ecu? hows that sound? is there any way i can check that? other than trying to find someone else with a 95 cx stick around?

it was the fn exhaust mani cat that was cloged. so now what should i do? hollow out the cat? will a d16 mani work? i really want to buy a b20 or ls swap.. and is there going to b any issues with what ever exhaust i get? like the car needs exhaust will it still all bolt on when i start mixing parts around?

Well if you can track down a good 4-1 manifold off of a d15 thatd work i think they even came off of some d16's but i can tell you right now if you get a 4-2-1 oem off a ex/si d16z6 it will not work will hit the oil pan n such........but yea id just hollow out the cat or something like that.....
Or better yet replace the cat with a turbo lol....but yea the only problem i can see is your stock cx exhaust is small as hell and im not to sure youd have fun bolting up a b series manifold to it.......most likley id suggest updateing with a si exhaust or dx since they have the cat after the downpipe....and just getting a cat or hollow a used cat out and use that....
And just wondering i think i may have the same problem you are having did you lose any oil while you where driving it like this???
