I recently pulled out my D15, painted my engine bay. cleaned the motor and did a mini me swap wit the b7 block and y8 head. Well for a while i had the 1.5 intake mani on the 1.6 head. and it acted funny if i reved it to bout 1500 rpms and held it there. It was weird. well yesterday i finally changed the manifolds and as soon as i turned the car on back and forth, vroom vroom vroom vroom vroom. It is horrible. and embaressing, lol. Now I do have the 1.5 P06 ECU still on the car. but it wont ilde down and it wont stop bouncin the throttle. i was thinkin maybe injector. But even so it still wont idle down. I havent a clue anymore. someone please help. this is my only transportation at the moment. here is a vid. Hopefully you can hear it enough. Here is a video of the dookie mobile. Thanks please help me out guys. Oh and by the way its not a vtec-e Only the valve cover. lol( sorry i posted this twice)

sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Check all the vacuum lines on the manifold, one may be cracked or missing. It may be the throttle body gasket or the intake manifold gasket as well. Be sure you have the correct IM gasket for your manifold and throttle body :thumb:

that happened to my friends y8 head the throttle body needed to be changed out....but id see if theres any difference if you adjust the idle screw....if i where you id just make things easy and switch to a z6 intake manifold since its for our year cars. that way all hoses are used and stuff like that.....but yea it dose sound like theres a vaccum leak somewhere....

tho just wondering do you happen to have the Y8 manifold that you have to cap off and block some things off?? if so id see about switching it out or blocking said things off.....check out the mini-me swap how to in the how to section on the homepage....

yea i have the one where i have to cap the purge line or whatever it is. its for a 98 i think. i have my B7 throttle body on cuz of the MAP sensor. i think i might try to get the Z6 one. but at the moment i cant. and only have the coupe until i get my wifes 4door eg goin. Thanks for helpin me. Tom. I am changin the intake manifold gasket. But i think it might be a vacuum leak and intake gasket leak. cuz i can put my hand over the throttle body and the car runs jus like it does without my hand ther. lol/ thanks guys hope i can fix this. i get off if 45 min so we will find out
