Please need help!!!

i changed the oil a month ago n yesterday after college the oil light came on. i checkd the oil n it was empty. i talkd to my boiis about it n they told me what i had suspectd an oil leak. my gasket being no good. the muffler shoots out white smoke. n the manifold smokes a lil.
i dnt kno what it means??? anyone can help me??
do i need to change the head gasket? or somethin else? the oil pan n bolt are not leaking. checkd n seems lik its the block. any opinions or advises?

Check your radiator first. If the coolant looks like a chocolate milkshake (dead serious here), then you have a blown head gasket. If it's nice and green, you have either blown rings, wasted valve seals, or excessively worn valve guides. Whatever the case may be, this engine is screaming for a full overhaul. Either that or your car is screaming for a swap.
Your catalytic converter and oxygen sensor(s) are also probably effed because of the oil vapors and smoke.

ok thanks. so you think imma have to most likely do a motor swap?

I can't say that definitively. How much do you want to spend? How much down time can you afford? What are the limits to your mechanical aptitude? Are you willing, and can you afford to take it to a shop if absolutely necessary?

check your oil filter. maybe when u changed the oil u didnt install it right. could b the source of a slow but bad leak. hence the month to notice.

yup sounds like the old oil filter gasket stuck to the block replace your oil filter. always make sure your car is completly free of the old gasket.

He said it was billowing white smoke from the tail pipe.
