what block code does a "jdm ZC head" come off? and would there be any benefit to putting it on my z6 block?

There are a few different ZC's, all from japan or JDM
The ZC VTEC which is identical to a z6. ob1
the DOHC ZC is is a JDM Version of the D16a1, twin cams, no vtec. - ob0
and then the ZC which is a jdm d16a6. single cam, no vtec
It deepnds on what head it is, If its the ZC Vtec head, No need, its what you have now.
the DOHC ZC swap would give you twin cams, but less after market support and no power gains. the DOHC ZC and z6 have same Hp. Stay with the z6 and buy a Cam to make more power.
The ZC non-vtec single cam head swap would make no since, you would loose power. the bottom end is nice higher comp pistons, if you get Rod knock it would be a good block swap. But dont swap heads

i thought the d16a6 was the usdm ef civic si motor. and the dohc zc will actually net u about 10 to 15 more horsepower. whats good is it is a direct swap so no mounts needed. just drop it in. and most of your aftermarket stuff from your usdm d series will fit. manifolds, etc. one of the only hassles is the timing belt but i read somewhere you can grab one off of a 91-94 integra. before b series the zc was our only hope

. there was a major problem with getting the timing just right though due to the belt situation. whatever you choose good luck

edit: it was prelude belts not integra belts and the exhaust manifold has a 3mm difference so some port matching is required.
