Posted: Mon Oct 12, 2009 3:50 amyepperz it will work fine and dandy without vtec being hooked up....i did than with my 1.6 before and my friends running a z1 without it hooked up to optimize fuel mileage....also make sure you take out that oil restrictor or when you get the p28(you should buy mine lol) your vtecwont work due to lack of oil

id do it even when its not hooked up since if you plan on hooking it up later and you don take it out your gonna have to do the head gasket swap all over again
