when i start the car after it being idle it sounds like the engine is shooting or sucking air.. kinda like a not so loud turbo sound. not sure where it's coming from or what's causing it. a little insight would be nice.. thanx

does it sound like a vacum leak? .. check the vacum lines from your intake manifold

if your idle is bouncing, it could be a vacuum leak. If not, then it could be a clogged PCV valve (on the vac line going from black box to intake manifold)
is your engine bone stock?

if it is a whistling like a turbo spool it could be a leak in your throttle body gasket

If your throttle body gasket was leaking you'd know it.
A vacuum leak is pretty apparent. So describe to us the kind of problems your car is having. Does it idle at 2500 RPM? Does it have bouncy idle, stumbling and surging? No? Then it can't be any of the above suggestions.

turbo it is!! naw, i'ma get it checked as soon as funds permit. it idles at bout 2k when warming up and 1500 when it's been running. it only makes the noise when starting up the car in the morning or after a long day of work, then quickly goes away. lately it's been making that whistling noise with a belt sound. thanks for all the insight

take your intake tubing off the throttle body and there should be 2 lil holes on the TB before the throttle plate, cover one up at a time and see if the noise goes awayand if it doesnt go away then cover both at the same time
one path goes to the IACV and the other to you FITV
i my car u can hear the intake makings some kinda noise from the filter
