Throtle bodies and intake manis

So i have a basically stock vx i tried putting a biger throtle bodie onto the intake but found out that it didnt line up with my manifold. is there any way to put a bigger tb on a vx mani or do i have to get an ew intake manifold? If i do need a bigger manifold will any otherone mount up to the z1 head?

vx is strictly an economy motor. great for mpg's, not going fast. your best bet would be to start lookin for a Z6 if you wanna go faster.

thats not the question man im doing a z6 head swap but i was wondering about the intake for the here and now while the heads being rebuilt and port and polished

id put the z6 intake and throttle body on the z1 head and wait till u get the z6 head back
or just wait till the z6 head is done

im not 100% sure but ill have to say no, my only supporting evidence is the differences between my d15b8 head and my d15b7 head, the b8 head uses a tiny intake manifold/throttle body, and the water port on the head for the intake manifold is on the drivers side, where on the d15b7 its on the passenger side.

wont line up. vx port holes are tiny as %$#@. like i said, vx is a dead horse tryin to make NA power.. guess you could put some boost to one, but she wouldn't be happy.
just wait for the one your getting done up, and enjoy the mpg's for now.

hey thanks for the info guys just curious. i was pretty sure it wouldnt mount up after i tried fitting a bigger throtle bodie on it i guess i just have to be patient .....
