Inspection for buying a new motor?

Im planning to buy a motor from a guy off craigslist and now looking for tips of how i can tell if the motor will fire up on the first try, can anyone tell me what i can check for to know that its good to go, its a newly rebuilt motor 0 miles

i wouldnt buy a "newly rebuilt" motor unless he has paperwork, reciepts, etc. to prove it has been rebuild.

cant tell by looking at it but make sure there are no leaks and sensors are attached. teal outlines the process very well-
