what exactaly is a zc my block says zc and i have no clue what that is if anyone has info that would be greatly apperciated

there are 3 ZC's
The DOHC NON-VTEC ZC(Similar to to the d16a1), The SOHC NON-VTEC ZC(Similar to the D16a6), and the SOHC VTEC ZC(Renamed D16z6)
They are JDM Engines.

mine is a sohc non vtec is the engine just simal or the same mostly wondering cuz i want to add headers and an intake mani

Get parts for the d16a6, the 88-91 CRX Si engine.
All 88-00 D Series Exhaust manifolds are the same bolt pattern, And I believe all 88-00 D Series Intake Manifolds have the same bolt pattern.

well the intake manis are a lil ficle because i had a d15z1 and the z1 head would not match up with any other intake manifold but the exhaust im not to worried about

well the only motor that i know of thats zc that intakes wont bolt right up to from other d series motors is the dohc zc.....that you will need a zcspeed.com adapter plate....

are you sure its not vtec cuz it doesn't say on thhe valve cover but has the vtec solenoid

also the spark plugs are towards the front of the car not the back...

If your going to buy a new engine then get JDM D15b. Dont waste money on getting a non-vtec ZC Swap its practally a d16a6(88-91 Si Engine)
If you have one now and want more power put a d16z6 or d16y8 SOHC VTEC Head on it make a High Comp Mini-me.
