Blown piston rings? Headgasket wouldn't allow gas to get in the oil.

gas could get into the oil from badly leaking intake/exhaust valves as well, but if the compression test is good?
and you should do a leakdown test as well, that will find the culprit

chances are it might be a leaky valve. intake side. you need to remove the head from the block and take it to a machine shop. they can do it for you. no more than 50bucks.

basically, a leakdown test is where you put air pressure on the combustion chamber with a leakdown kit while the piston is at TDC on the compression stroke (when the intake and exhaust valves are fully closed). If it is leaking, you would be able to narrow it down through checking for the sound of air through various parts of the engine, i.e. oil cap, intake manifold, of exhaust manifold. theres more to it, but that is basically what it is.
