#163817 ok my first question whats the differeance between vtec-e and vtec. What are some inexpensive mods that i can do to my d15z1 to get more power. I know that air intake,headers, and exhaust are some stuff i can do but what else? :o

1) Well you should ask, what are the similarities? There are almost no similarities between the two except how they are triggered.

VTEC-E is a switch from 12 valve mode to 16 valve (intake valves) mode that occurs low in the RPM when you're heavy on the throttle.

VTEC is a switch from a mid range cam profile to a high rpm cam profile that occurs in the high RPM.

Two completely different things with completely different purpose.

2) There are no mods worth doing to a Z1 to increase hp.
