going turbo!

so i have officially started my project car
94 eg8 white
im getting an intake mani and a turbo mani for 140 this weekend
i dont wanna build my motor its a jdm d15b with like 60k on it
is the intake mani over kill? its a nice one i dont remember what kind but heres a pic

my goal is around 175 hp on stock internals with a good tune
so u think the mani is worth it?

it'll help a little i'm sure. but, your stock mani would be just fine for your hp goal.

put it toward other parts of the project that you'll need for sure..

maybe... intercooler, charge pipes, BOV, oil line kit, injectors, boost guage just to name a few. not sure what all you got together yet..

I've about got everything i need to boost my LS :twisted:

yeah i know what ur saying just get basics
im getting a walbro fuel pump cheap sometime this week
once i have enought to start the project ill make a thread
i really gotta take car of my honda rust first but its too cold for sanding or painting soo that will wait
are 450injectors with a resistor box a good choice?

i've been shopping for injectors for a while now....


i've decided i'm not gonna go with some junk used dsm 450's and have to wire up a resistor, or buy refabbed ones with a resistor for like $150. I'm just gonna buy some High Impedance Precision 440's for $200. not gonna dick with a resistor and have a warranty. :D

and for the rust part.....

I've got the rear quarters off a donor. guess i'm gonna get it boosted THEN do the body work and get it painted.. sucks though cause my rear cancer is bad... but its cold as #$@$! out! :lol:

where u getting ur injectors from ?
im just kinda piecing my turbo stuff together as i find good deals locally
the walbro i might get is like 70 bucks
is that a good deal?

i found a place online that sells the rear quarters for 65 bucks for both

type in "precision 440cc" on ebay for those to come up.


walbro's go between 90-100 new so... but, there's two different kinds. its something with a gear thats in them. one has a brass or copper gear and the other has a plastic gear. not sure if they're labeled differently like one being "high flow" or something but, I'm pickin up one from a local shop with the "metal" gear for $90 plus $20 for the install kit....

which site? how big are the pieces? i cut out almost the entire ass-end of a donor hatchy 8)

wait to get the intake till down the road when you need it to make crazy power :wink:
