I need help with sensors

- Tue Jan 05, 2010 7:18 pm #165992 i'm not for sure if my sensors are connected right on my intake. is there a diagram where i can check the connectors and the color of the wires to the connectors. Help would be greatly appreciated.

- Tue Jan 05, 2010 9:47 pm #166045 i put on this intake awhile back. its been kinda sluggish lately. i was just making sure things were hooked up right. the idle air control valve and air charge intake sensor were the only ones switched. either way car still runs the same. now it feels like the vtec kicks in only once in awhile. it has a pivot vtec controller. there is only one wire in the clip to the vtec solenoid. is that all there should be.

- Tue Jan 05, 2010 9:50 pm #166047 yeah just one wire in the solenoid, and the 2 in the oil pressure sensor. Check the mini-me diy thread for the pin out :thumb:

I'm not a fan of vtec controllers... The correct ecu (P28) will know best when to activate vtec and also have the proper air/fuel maps so you're not running rich or lean.

you can get them pretty cheap
like under 150 on ebay or try locally on cl
if u get one on cl check it first as in plug it in first amnd if theres a cel dont buy it

just get rid of the vtec controller and let the p28 do the work

- Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:54 am #166135 the car currently has a check engine light on. i still cant find the connector to check the codes. the air charge temp sensor is damaged and needs replaced plus i think the iacv in bad. i'm buying those parts first in about 2 weeks when i get some money.
