how would it be to put a d15b jdm head on a b7 block? looking for all d15 mini me. What would i need for gaskets, intake mani and shit. If i install 2 layers of head gaskets would it be good for low boost in the future. any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

Don't neccesarily need that much head gasket. You can run a b7/z6 mini-me on low boost with a good tune. That's what I'm going to be doing. As far as what you'll need:

z6 head
z6 dizzy
any d-series IM will do but the z6 flows best
z6 head gasket
p28 ecu (you will also need to wire vtec if you want the swap to function properly, if you don't it will only run on the "small" cam profile and will fall on its face in the higher rpms)

This set up will net you about a 10:1 CR. With a good tune, and a small turbo at relatively low boost you should be ok, and have a car with a very good powerband.

JDM d15b vtec head = USDM d16z6 head

Use a d16y8 headgasket, make sure it's an MLS gasket.
Pretty much all gaskets and torque specs will be the same as the z6.
Use the d16y8 intake manifold, or the z6 will do. The y8 one flows the best!
As long as you get it tuned you won't have to worry about ''good for boost''. Any set up can be ''good for boost'' if it's properly tuned.

You may have a problem with the dizzy, unless you have a d15b diz already. From what i have read the end of the cam is different for where the little tabs on the dizzy line up and go into the cam.
