- Thu Jan 14, 2010 6:16 pm #168442 I have a 1.3 carb civic as my run around and has been goning fine till this morning when I went out to start her up the car turned over but then nothing there's no spark.

Have changed my leads and cleaned the plugs and noticed that plug 2 and 3 had alot of oil on them so think this may be the problem but what does this mean??? Am I gonna need to change the head gasket??? the rad doesn't have an sign of mayonaise so not sure if is head gasket.

All help and advise greatfully accepted

if it dosent have any spark and you turned it over abit too much most likely you flooded the carbs but yea....the no spark thing is definately interesting if you changed your leads....

check your grounds as one may be iffy and gone or somethign like that....ummm besides that oil on the plug could mean bad valve seat, guide, v.c. gasket, or bad rings if its been smoking black then its your rings...or possibly valve seal somethign like that...
