okay so about 6 months ago i saw a set of ITB's for a d-series head for sale.
i ended up missing out on them, they were only 100$

now the guy said they were off his car and ive seen then on a D16/15 all the time.
But here's the thing, they came stock on the older civics that were carbureted.
Well atleast i think they did. the ones he had didnt look new like these.

i want to know if they were on the old 1970's 1980's civics?

and if so where to get em?
i really dont feel like paying 2000$!

oldser civics have carbs none that i know unless modified from the factory for racing had itbs stock....more than likely they where used throttle bodies off a motorcycle custom fit to the intake manifold runners...

i have seen alot of homemade itb setups on other forums made from kawi parts... i have also seen the OBX itb's on ebay for like 700... i think there mostly for dual cams though... and there quality looks rather poor compared to other itb's ive seen.... as the TWM's are very high quality.... but are also like $2000.... couldnt agree more with teal... you def. get what you pay for....

No they absolutely did not come stock on any Honda with 4 wheels. And you can tell at a glance that those are aftermarket.

The only non-exotic passenger vehicle I know of that had stock ITB's was the JDM Corolla. Search 20V 4AGE silvertop or blacktop.

You can't just throw those on btw. They don't work with MAP sensors unless you have some kind of vacuum accumulator, and even then they'd need serious tuning just to get it running. Forget drive-ability. To do it right you'd get an aftermarket ECU and convert to MAF sensor; which means building a box to house the ITB's (that's how Toyota did it), alpha N tuning by someone that really knows their shit.

X2 ITB'S are mad hard to tune... deff. gota have your sh!t together but they say throttle response and mid range is pickup by alot....
