my roommate says he thinks his car could beat mine we both have the d15b7 he has stock wheels and Cai and cheapo ebay bomb muffler with a silencer and i have dc headers and full 2.5" exhaust with high performance cat and n1 style bomb muffler and no audio equipment( no speakers, radio) no heat or a/c and 16" chrome rims. given the hypothetical situation which car is faster with exact same driver?

the lighter car will win. if they're the same but one has a pair of 12's, a big ass amp, and a full tank of gas... it will loose

Depends on who the better driver is. Also are the tire the same diameter? If the tires are different diameters that will affect the gearing of the cars. Also depends on weight of car ... racing on the internet is pointless there are too many variables, find a track, line up and tell us what happens.

EDIT: It also depends how long the race is. With his stock exhaust he will probably get you off the line, since your 2.5" exhaust will cost you some low end torque ... but it'll free up a little more power in the top end.

he has 170/50/14s i think and i have 205/50/16s i was thinking mine is heavier but not by much but i have 5 more years of racing experience ok so if we were to go to a dyno who would have more ponies again i have headers, and full 2.5" exhaust to a Apexi bomb n1 style muffler and he has a ebay brand bomb muffler and a ebay brand Cai

not enough modifications to either to make much of a difference. just sound better really.

only problem is his only day off is on saturday and the closest track is about 45 minutes away may just line it up on a old airstrip that we know about with my tires i should have a better foot print (meaning a better launch) ppl have already marked 1/8th, 1/4th and 1mile markers for ppl to race with and the owner watches over the whole thing and there is usually a off duty cop out there to keep the peace (saturday is only day it's open)

now i just gotta talk him into it

if both cars are the same, it all comes down to the launch and the driver.

He's going to have better gearing for acceleration with this wheels. Since you both have the same sidewall size, but his wheels are two inches smaller. You are running way too tall of a sidewall for your wheels.

you guys need to go and run em. I think it will be dead even. you would have to proly do best out of 3 or 5. cause neither one will lanch the same every time. and whomever takes the hole shot will win.

speaking of racing i was on the highway doing about 65-70 and this Teg pulls up so of course i drop to 3rd and punch it i start walking away and the teg pulls up then i heard the turbo spool up and it was gone i was never so happy to be outrun lol
