Even then, if you're going to dump a bunch of grease through the engine I suggest you remove the O2 sensor and stick an old spark plug in the hole to plug it temporarily. You should also put some old spark plugs in.
Some repair shops have a pressurized foam machine and they push the foam through your intake and out your exhaust. That's the only way I know to really get it clean w/out removing it.

Posted: Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:07 pmwell got the head off and taken apart. took it to the machine shop to get cleaned and resurfaced. hopin thats all it needs cuz i cant afford anything else.just cleaned the intake with some engine degreaser. taken the oil pan off tomorrow and cleanin up in that area.
