getting from point A to point B

when i buy an engine how do i go about getting it home?? haha.. :?
can i throw it in the back of the hatch??

the engine its self would fit in the trunk but idk if engine and tranny would fit.

make sure the oils drained....take out the p.side seat have your buddy sit in the back bring some wrenches sockets etc tools to pop the trans off if it comes with one and then plop the trans in the back fold one seat down and place shift linkage etc there....(make sure you place some plastic down so you are able to defend your plastic and fabrics against grease and oil.......

then place motor where the p.side seat was and then your all set....this is how i transported my b series and countless other motor swaps hatches are like trucks i love them but yea just make sure all fluids are drained and you have some help motors are heavier then they appear

hah.. thanks for all the suggestions i'm probably gonna go w/ taking the pass seat out since i don't know anyone here let alone one w/ a truck

my buddy and i got a engine and trans still connected to fit in the trunk of his hatch.

I've done it. Take your rear plastic and carpet out if you care about it, then line the trunk with a few layers of cardboard. Also some towels because I guarantee you that fluids will leak out.

im just saying take it apart so its lighter thusly being easier to manage
