#191449 so im looking at the back of the d series z6 to be exact and it looks like in the back there is a molded area in the back looks as there may be a area wher you could tap and place in a intermediate shaft there and the only d series one i could think of would be the d16a1/dohc zc etc

So yea im just wondering if this is a novel idea of doing this since from my research

the intermediate shaft provides help from torque steer and since im upping the power of my d seris to over that of a b series which has an intermediate shaft im wondering if i could do this.....

#191450 The D16z6 bottom end has threaded holes to bolt in an intermediate shaft. The D15b7 has the holes just not threaded.

If you get a Intermedate shaft, and Driver Side Axle of a 88-91 Si then you can put that on your D16z6. :thumb:

If you can get the parts for cheap it would be a good mod. It would help rid of torque steer.

#192741 well turns out the intermediate is a tad larger than that ofthe hole for the transmission for our d series at least....looked more b series than anything but still wish it wouldve worked....ohhh well time to find something new or make a custom one if thats possible lol but yea thatd be a weak area if i custom made one....

anyhow for further knowledge the d16a1 intermediate shafts from at least the 87 model will not work....

#192756 To fit the CG intermediate shaft, you'd have to use the CG trans. Click the link in my sig, towards the last few pages you'll get an explaination of my whole tranny set up. The shaft it self is the same as a b-series, only one hole mounts up to the block. One is WAY off, and one is half on the hole, and half off. I just modded my CG half shaft to fit my z6 last night.
