Anyone running this clutch kit on their d-series?.

Yes it works fine. I did manage to get it to slip the other day though ... 7800 RPM shift into second. But I've been beating the shit out of it for 3 years, and that's the first time it's slipped.

ok good. i got their "Stage 3" 6puck kit with their 7lbs flywheel.

just installed it saturday got about 200 miles on it so far. been breaking it in since then. says requires 500 miles. and not racing actually. last nite i launched. it launched awesome. i went for second. and the damn thing slipped. like it was the clutch i replaced? is that normal do you know???

u know how u usually get a good schreech from the tires when u slam 2nd. not with this one.

slave's brand new, and i got the omni power clutch master cylinder.. lol.

it's still in the process. i mean it grabs real good. idk it's just weird to me. like going into 2nd gear is too soft to me..

i had a the stage 2 on my old d15b with the stock flywheel and that thing grabbed really good when i went to 2nd. Just drive it around a couple hundred miles to break it in more... then try it.

^this... you need to go the 500 before beating on it... its tempting to smash it, but it needs that 500+ miles of babying

it comforts me to hear good things about these clutches cause everyone tells me they are junk. but hey if i get a year of beating it and it fails its freakin $125... thats a bargain imo

^this... you need to go the 500 before beating on it... its tempting to smash it, but it needs that 500+ miles of babying

I have had their stage 3 for a couple yrs. broke it in NA, then beat on it NA, now boosting and it's still doing great! I have the their light flywheel too. also have a lsd installed + azenis the car shifts so hard it bangs when it hooks.

ahhh sorry but imo xtd is CRAP. i had a stage 4 xtd and still have the 8lbs flywheel, broke it in 500miles and the sucker slips like crazzy and i means slips at normal take off also. also it would make some shitty niose when i let the clutch out like a thunkk.

anywho i dont like em, i would definatly say i love my stage2 competition clutch much better

I loved my XTD Stage 3 Sprung clutch. After its break in it took abuse like a champ. I was spraying over a hundred shot on it practically every weekend for the Summer months, It didn't even think of slipping. It was an amazing clutch. I regret not pulling it when I sold the car it was in.

If I was going to build up another D Series I would highly recommend one. If your staying N/A I would recommend getting the lighter flywheel to go with it.
