i have a stock 92 civic eg and im thinking about the mini swap. im new to this whole car thing and wanted some advice. is the mini me swap worth the money? also iv read that when doing the mini me swap you have to chage out the trasmision? is that tru? if not what are some inexpensive things i can do to my car that will raise the horsepower thanks.

mini me swap is totally worth the money
and you do not need to swap out transmisions the stock tranny is fine
however if you want a little more pep of the line get a si or ex tranny
that will be a good upgrade before or after the mini me swap
the mini me swap with a good intake header and complete exahust will be a fun dailoy driver
get rid of power steering and a/c and its even funner

DO IT! :thumb: its great and its really fun did it for a friend it adds a few ponies and to answer your question RESEARCH will be your best friend tealdx has a great write up and no you do not need to change your transmission. but your normal I/h/e will only do a few hp but the mini me will add a lot more pep.

Im actually in the same position.
Im a bit new to Hondas and am looking to improve my stock eg.
im glad I noticed this thread. :thumb:

Im a bit disappointed tho because I just had my valves adjusted and a couple gaskets replaced. If I knew I would have just swapped.
just hope you guys have enough patients for noobs

if you are mechanically inclined it is pretty easy
if you are not i would suggest finding somone that has done the swap and watch them do it and learn how in the process
