hi, i seem to have a problem when im driving along change gear hesitation and in any gear nothing on throtte then full foot to floor hesitation :x (but doest seem as bad when cold?? )

can any one help?? i bought a new 02 sensor today as i drove with no 02 sensor and no difference in driving so guessed its that, i also cleaned up te ht leads and dizzy... my air filter seemed bit dirty so changed that.... yet still hesitations!!!

only thing i can think is after fitting my new manifold its kicking heat around and the engines not over heating but only getting hot air ??? so i have just bought some heat wrap to prevent that .. but in the mean time thought i would ask if anyone has any other ideas?

THANKS :thumb:

did it just begin this after you installed the intake manifold?

hi, thanks for the replies, my engine management light came on before I put the manifold on at a constant speed like 60mph, but didn’t effect the performance :? I have an error code I think, I complete the circuit and it flashes quick then an error code but it flashes and cant read it definitely not my thing … don’t know when it’s a long blink its 10 or a short blink and its 1 but its either repeating itself or i have loads!! the flashes just seem to be the same guessing long flash maybe... over and over again? but as i said i had that before and no effect on performance...

It’s a exhausted 4-2-1 manifold I have just installed about 2 weeks ago…. And seems to have been fine for the first week and now the problem, I have ordered heat wrap just because with the lack of heat shield it was hot under the hood but not hot on my thermostat … (had new thermostat and flushed system about 3 months ago)

Thanks!! :thumb:

If you have a CEL, it's for a reason.

There's a DIY on how to check the codes. You can't diagnose an engine while ignoring a CEL. If nothing else, post a video of the diagnosis and we'll help figure out what code you have. :thumb:

Yes, it blinks a code, pauses, and repeats infinitely.

That's a code 1. That means your ECU is toast. But I suspect there's more going on here. You're wrong to blame the O2. Many codes put you into open loop mode so the ECU is ignoring the O2 and running on predetermined "limp home" maps designed to prevent your engine from exploding. In other words, you're running rich as fuck with very little timing advance. This will cause problems like you're describing. Power wise it feels as though you're towing a parachute or a boat anchor.

Cheers for the response :D , I’m not sure its in limp mode … it is smelling a bit rich but in all fairness I have just taken my cat out. It seems to pick up and go to well to be in limp mode, If it was in limp mode it would be f**king fast for a d15b2 lol.

I randomly tried disconnecting the battery with the new o2 sensor in and flexing some redex through the system and seems to be running fine :hehe: … for now….
