Whats up i havent posted here before but I have a few questions. Before that i drive a 94 civic hatch and i love it but its auto and i feel like i may fall asleep driving it.haha, I know you will probably just tell me to search it but i have and it would really help me if someone could specifically answer my questions. Thanks

First, a list of everything i need to complete this. please be as specific as possible. im just starting to get into this and sort of need as much help as i can get. haha

Second, how much will this all cost me? Im 17 and i dont have all the money in the world.

Thanks, im sure you guys were once where im at and were just sorta lost

This is probably not what you want to hear and I'm getting famous for giving these kinds of answers; but with the cost, effort, difficulty, and likelihood of something going wrong, it's better to simply buy a manual trans Civic, swap your motor over, and sell the automatic.

If you are mechanically inclined (and good) and can find the parts for cheap, it will be worth it.

5 spd Trans
p28 ecu (manual)
clutch master cylinder
clutch slave cylinder
pedal assembly
clutch lines, or the Earl's conversion ss braided clutch line
manual starter & long bolt
passenger side conversion mount
rear mount
lower front tranny mount
Manual Flywheel bolts (auto ones are too short)
flywheel, Clutch & Pressure Plate (obviously)
pilot bearing
release bearing
linkage & shifter & bushings, bitch pin, bolts, knob, dust boot
You'll need to wire in the reverse lights and clutch pedal switch
A tach is also recommended if your current auto cluster does not have one.

Finding a wrecked 5 speed car to grab the parts from will be the easiest. The dealership will get expensive fast!

suspendedhatch- i don't mind hearing that answer given that that's all Ive heard from everyone else but i don't think that ill be able to sell my car for what i want and then get another for the same piece in the same condition.

teal_dx-thanks that's exactly what i needed.

i really don't want to sell the car because its in such great condition and also honestly my parents would be pissed considering i just bought it. Swapping out the transmission will give me something to do this summer also and ill definitely learn more about my car this way then just buying a new one.

If your car is rust free and has no accidents , then it is definitely worth keeping and doing the swap :thumb:

I plan on swapping mine but with a f22a6 engine and trans so I'm going to have some mods anyway

but the guys that first answered is right. don't worry about buying it all separate best if you can find a wrecked one accident or rotten one for cheep what was standard and swap every thing

What else would i need for the transmission swap and would i need anything else for the engine swap?
