ok so i keep haveing this issue with my mini me d16z6/d15b7 losing coolent in the over fill tank. First it was the radiator that was losing coolent so i bought a radiator off clist and then i bought a brand new radiator cap from napa and that solved the problem. Also i replaced my my thermostat and checked for any loose hoses or leaks and see nothing. So im thinking that maybe the oil and coolent could be possibly be mixing which is know is bad. If this is the case what causes the coolent and oil to mix? And how long do i have till my motor detonates? Also i noticed my temp guage went up then back to normal

if coolant is mixing, could be your cylinder head saying good bye? Any white smoke coming from the exhaust tip? that is a sign of coolant mixing with oil in the engine.

Thanks teal, I'm gonna try that. Also what correct gasket do I use since I did the mini me swap d16z6 head with a d15b7 bottom end?

i just had this exact issue.

what it ended up being was a warped head and bad head gasket replaced them and its all good.
