Hey, i bought a z6 for cheap. But i dont want to swap it and then find out the rings and pistons and what not are gone. So while its out i would like to rebuild it. New Rods, Pistons, Rings, to bring it back to new. What brands should i be looking into?

first off you dont need new rods just bearings for a rebuild
not any particular brand i would suggest other than these guys on ebay
some ppl are prob gonna call me out on this but me and my buddy have used 4 rebuild kits from ebay and they are fine
pretty cheap as well

ya i would stay away from ebay on a engine build just imo. some shit on there works fine but in the end its still shit lol. just get some acl rod and crank bearings and thrust washers in a kit for like 60bucks, then get some oem rings assuming your pistons dont have any scoring on them, hone the cylinders throw in a new water pump t-belt and oil pump and a rear main seal and your golden. i would get as many oem parts as possible. you figure your stock honda goes 200000+ miles untouched the oem parts are def worth the lil extra cash. thats my opinion :thumb:

i agree on just getting the basics as 93hatcheg said
