I tried to swap out my engine today and it didnt go to plan. I have put the D15B7 back in and I have crazy idle surge to about 3500.. I only disconnected what i needed to get the motor out and I think I have connected everything back up. There is very loud noise coming from around the intake mani like the exhaust is disconnnected but it isnt. I cant see anything out of the ordinary,

need help bad, need to dive it tomorrow!!

sounds like a vaccum leak

check around the intake mani for a leak.. did u hook up all the vaccum hoses??

did u adjust the idle screw?

x2 get some soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the intake manifold, throttle body, and all vaccum hoses

well, i reusd the gasket for the intake and just found a piece of it under the mani... theres a visible gap where the mani meets the head and the odd blue flame to be seen so Im not running it again till i can replace that gasket... or maybe some temporary gasket paste for the time being.

would that gap cause idle surge in itself?? if so i put everything back together right first time (except the gasket obviously).... thats kind of a positive to take away from this engine swap malarchy,
