boken purge solenoid valve

when i got my z6 it came with a broken PSV, the part where u put the hose wasnt there. I needed to get my car smogged asap so what i did is i put a small screw then put the hose over it
. the car passed smog but will this cause the motor to bog or not run right? Im not getting a CEL for it.

Many people report a strong gas odor.
Just grab another one at the junkyard. Pretty much effortless and wont cost you anything. Better than the shame of having something ghetto rigged, right?

ok thanx.... atleast i know thats not the problem with my motor
...i went to the junkyard but the cars were stripped. Can i get them from other hondas? accord, prelude?

thats just an example of what im talking about. Not the actual broken PSV. You see that little tube thing sticking out in the middle? Mine is broken off.

the black vacuum switch with the hose going from it to the intake?

Honda calls it a purge cut solenoid.
other end that broke goes to a charcoal canister?
he says it retails $180 CAD
