ok my buddy is looking for a tb for his ek with a y8 but he dont want to go and buy a aftermarket tb. so i was wondering what stock tb can he use and still gain hp while upgrading.

There are bigger OEM TB's that will bolt right up, but they result in a hp loss. The OEM TB is purposely designed to have a step between the TB and the IM. This prevents something called reversion, which is a negative pulse wave that bounces back and reduces the air pressure going to the valves.
