Cat help!?

I live in idaho where we dont have smog, Im going N/A with my d series an i was wondering if i should bust out my cat or not? An if i do will it make it loud? Cus i really dont want that.

if by "bust out" you mean to gut the cat out... don't. swap it out with a resinator

No, i mean to take the cat an busting out the filters in it. Then putting it back on.

Yea thats what he means by gutting it i wouldn't do that id either get a resonator or straight pipe or high flow cat for now.....since gutting the cat dosent make it very good sounding and the back pressure it takes away takes some power away....

2.25 pipe, header, and intake ftw! if u want to hollow out your cat... get a test pipe dont destroy your functioning cat and just know that it will sound way rice and it will take away from your low end torque and its kinda stinky when your mobbin'... and people will hate you :lol:

plus, if you gut the cat you're still stuck with the same diameter which will be the bottle neck with an aftermarket exhaust. Gutting cat = ghetto. I'd buy a high flow one :thumb:

:cry: I dont want sound like crap/rice. :lol: I already have a header, intake an 2.25 exhaust just not the cat. Any good places to find a high flow cat?
