jdm d15b build! new pics and updates

i started to tear town my jdm d15b a few days ago
rebuilding it cause the rings were shot
not completely rebuilding it but doing a nice re ring and bearings and water pump
along with a fresh rebuilt head shaved .010
heres some pictures

i am having the block sent out for cleaning and honing and possibly micropolishing the drank
will update as i build it more :thumb:

looking nice wish i had a place like that damn lol roof over your head the best i get is a tarp maybe if im lucky lol but looking good so far and you have some nice plans goodluck

the guy sold it before i could even call him it was off craiglist :thumbdown:
ccr85 its my girlfriends house her dad loves me and lets me use his basement for whatever i need
hes got a wicked nice air compressor with tools i use
ill post pics of that too haha
its a big upgrade im used to fighting with horses for barn space haha
will update soon with clean parts :thumb:

cleaned the block and tranny today
well i didnt do all of it i scrubbed a litttle called it a day and the next thing i know my girlfriend is cleaning my block more
she did a great job props to her
cant really tell much difrence cause i didnt take pictures before i started but her are before and after

That oil pan has had some rough encounters lol.

painted the block...












RED!
looks pretty good should have done more coats but not a big deal
did two coats of high temp primer and two coats of high temp rustolem engine paint
pics as promised

also re asembled my block after honing and doing clerance check for my bearings
all bearing were pretty much dead on perfect :thumb:

did the honing myself
with some help from my gfs dad came out ok
could have gotten better angle but it will be fine
its nice and smooth now not a lot of pits left wich is great

flipped her over put some lube on and in goes the crank :lol:

all asembled and rotates freely tight but not binding on anything
and new water pump

ordering my flywheel soon
should have the head on and everything else assembled by next weekend
