Civic EG

Ok I know this is an EG civic forum but my 99' ex with a D16Y8 is smoking a bit...

Now its hardly any but it seems to be black. It smell like fuel which could possibly mean its running rich? I dunno, help please!

that's hardly a backfire how many mi on the motor? Burning oil is normally rings or valve seals. You're correct, black smoke is excess fuel. Does everything else function normally or is the car sluggish, studdering etc...

that looks like oil to me.

thats my bet. but you would have to test things out first to be sure

I've been checking the oil regularly, it doesn't seem to burn a drop.

Car has a 157K miles but pulls very good! Feels like new to me.

i would say fuel then
running rich i guess
what have you done recently ? any new mods intake or anything like that ?

Recently, I've replaced every single maintenance part you an image plus an intake yeah lol.
