here are a few good n/a setups to really make your d15b7 perform better
if you wanna go non vtec then here is a very good proven setup
non vtec-
d15b7 head
d16a6 cam
d16z6 or d16y8 intake manifold
basic i/h/e
street tune on po6 and that should net you somewhere around 110 to 120 wheel horsepower depending on your tune
if you go that route you can get a regrind for the a6 cam from delta

vtec
swap heads for a d16z6 or a d16y8
both will raise your compression and give you an instant 20 to 30 hp
this is a very comon swap (mini me )
good easy swap if you dont want to do much engine building

just some thoughts for ppl with d15b7's as those are the most comon motors in civics of our generation

I did a mini-me swap recently and the net gain is closer to 40whp ... untuned. At least it was with mine. D15b7 w/z6 head.

did u dyno it?
40whp is alot for just a mini me i dont doubt you
what other mods ?
did u shave the head ?

Yep had it dyno'd. Went from ~80whp to ~120whp. No mods other than skimming the head to make sure the mating surface was true (~0.004"). Maybe and inadvertant light porting, because the ports were all rusty and had to be cleaned up. But for the most part ... no mods at all.

Aftermarket clutch, EX tranny, and poly motor mounts may have helped with the power transfer to the ground.

Added a cam and tuning later, which did nothing except smooth out the power delivery (turbo cam didn't help the N/A engine, imagine that).

Unfortunately I did not get a before dyno (tuner forgot), but my tuner had a dyno sheet from another b7 with essentially the same mods. Now it may be that mine was much healthier than that one and made better power with the b7 head, but it can't have made that much more. I had I/H/E as well but they were on before the mini-me and the dyno sheet that my tuner had on file was a b7 w/ I/H/E as well.

That's what I keep hearing about the little d15. It's turboed now and making 181whp/154wtq ... on 8 lbs of boost (on a tiny turbo). I've been consistently impressed by this little motor, 195K and running like a champ.

Blue is w/boost and tune .... red is w/cam and tune (cam actually lost 2 whp). Both from the mini-me set up.

I don't have any ... didn't tune it myself. But I may be able to get them from my tuner for you. I'll see what I can do.

I do know that it's an incredibly conservative tune. He didn't pull any timing (which, I have to admit, I'm not completely sure what that means).

pulling timing is retarding it, in the ignition maps.
adding timing would be advancing it.

a 'conservative tune' is like a dream girl, rich and retarded.

Haha ... ok I guess that means he didn't add any timing then.

She's pretty because she doesn't make your engine explode.
