MAP Sensor. NEED HELP

my engine light is on for the MAP sensor and i was wondering if that effects the engine idle?

ohhkay sweet because that should be the last thing i need to get my friken light to go off so i can smog it withought haveing to payy $200 thanx man you helped me out alot

i changed the sensor and the problem is still there! ahhhh. can anyone tell me what else might be tha problem

Did you somehow switch the MAP and IACV plugs. I think the have the same pugs and if you switch them it messes things up.

yah i thought of that buy my friend brought up that i have a intake an there might be an air leak in one of the rubber couplings

That wont affect your MAP one bit since it measures manifold air pressure. Nothing outside the throttle plate can affect that reading.
If it's not the sensor, then it's the wiring. It's a simple test with a multimeter.
