b7 start then die right away

- Mon Oct 25, 2010 4:00 am #219846 ok so i was changing ball joints and inner and outter tie rods yesterday and got all done put tires back on started the car while i was cleaning up all the tools. well it was running really good and then all the sudden it just dies didn't bog down or nothing just died like i turned off the car. well i restarted it and it took a second to start up but did then immediately died and then i started smelling gas. so checked the fuel pump it is still kicking on so i know its not that. anybody have any clue on what this could be

- Thu Oct 28, 2010 9:25 pm #220545 It could be ur fuel filter is cloged or ur injectors sense u smelled gas... also check all ur grounds to see if it might be that... like ur batt ground, chassis ground, and the ground from the motor to the rad support... :thumb:

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 9:30 pm #220846 found out what the problem was. it was the ignition coil and the control module so the eg is up and running again
