#222170 I am a machinest by trade and breaking in your engine is such a contraversy. I am a firm beleaver in run it hard from the gate and dont pussy foot around. I have done the "steps" of breaking in a moter but still got the same results as going all out. If the engine is going to come apart it will do it at five miles or five hundred. I just prefer it to do so sooner so I can build bigger. The only thing that people dont understand is you have to retorque the cylender head whether the head gasket manufacterer rec. it or not

#222183 Are you going to continue to build these gnarly monstrous frankenstein honda motors?

I think you can go farther with this.
You seem to build them to perfection.

#245930 no i havent but there a lot of threats here how to paint your VC

1. i used paint stripper
2. after cleaning i skrubbed it with some sandpaper 200grid
3. put some primer on let it dry and use a 800-1000grid sandpaper
4. spraypaint it and put it for an hour in the oven at 60°C
5. now you put a 1000grid paper on a plane woodblock and rub the letters shiney

#258876 That's awesome. And thanks for posting it in mpg for those of us who live in a country that believes that the metric system is communist

Did you ever get it dyno'd?

#266654 That torque curve looks awesome. Not bad #'s at all. Especially making 48.9 MPG.

Congrats that is an awesome engine. :thumb:

This makes me want to build a D16y5 VTEC-E turbo build so bad.
