d15b swap smokes idles surges ?

Just swapped in jdmb15 in my 95 coupe
i took out a smoking d16z6
and found this motor in the junkyard
guy said it ran great no smoke no knocks
swore by it said his empoyee wanted to buy it
swaped motor this weekend
i used the old Intake mani from the z6
and dizzy. swapped the vtec sol to
Fired car up, idle surges like a stuck IACV
blows white smoke ( just like the old motor i swapped)
let it run and try to bleed the coolant so it will idle ( major exhust leak between the cat and header. and i wanted to not piss off the neighbors)
never stopped surging and when i turned off the car coolant spilled along the right side of the block, down by casting numbers, and all along the back on top of the tranny.
cannot locate leak
is it possable that i have a wrong intake gasket? or bad intake gasket and its sucking coolnt into the manifold before it reachs the idle control valve.
and would that explain it leaking when turned off?... im thinking the coolant is expanding when i turn it off and leaking out a poorly sealed intake?

I had a similar problem which was down to a crappy IM gasket. Mine was whistling too it was so bad does yours do this? see this vid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CutLRTSJMeA

Mine was letting coolant/water into one of the intake ports, made its way through the engine and came out as smoke and even spraying water, I had a puddle -

I had a major vac leak from it too, hope this helps you out

Make sure the ports match.. and you'll know. if im not mistaken many of the D15b7(DX) and d15z1(VX) match up

I had a similar problem when i installed my Skunk2 IM.

Do this and see if it helps. look inside your TB. with the car on cover one of the holes and see if it stops surging. do one at a time. idle should fix with one.. and the other should shut the car off.

wow that didnt make any sense little fustrated after working in the driveway all day.. intake gasket fixed the leak and smoke. still not running 100% i think the timing is off a little bit, it pulls strong untill about 4500 rpm then has no power whatsoever. should be a fun winter car when its 100%[/list]

what didnt make sense., Looking inside tyour TB and covering one of the holes thatt's in there before th throttle plate?.

my first post didnt make sence, its all over the place, so i swaped the TB w one i had and its running good. i had a couple of map codes. mounting up some new tires and it will be road ready and pass inspection next week.
