#222159 OK so ive come to an issued with this style crank pu8lley. I have my own z6 which the pulley can be held in place with a 50MM hex tool sold on ebay and what not. now i thought it would be the same on this d15b7. and what i have is similar to this.. How and what tool can be used for this to hold this sucker in place.. ..??

#222192 i'd try PB blaster, let it soak, and then an impact wrench.

If you had to, you could probably put some steel rods through the holes in the pulley and they would catch at the block/oil pan and stop it from turning.

But I'd recommend the impact or even try to stop the crank by holding the flywheel.

#222598 i just did this on my Auto hatch.

take off starter and put a prybar in the torque converter teeth...trust me you will snap the bolt before you snap the teeth.

don't put anything in those holes to hold it. I used the "proper" tool for it and it shattered the pulley at the holes. I still have it hanging on my wall lol.

before you do anything pb blast the hell out of it and let it soak.
